Work Permit

Canadian Work Permits

There are different types of work permits available so it is difficult to decide which one is beneficial for a long term. At Canadian Immigration Scouts Inc., our professionals help individuals with this process by pairing the right kind of work visa – LMIA-required or LMIA-exempt – for all the applicants.

We Manage The Details

We will help you get and compile all the relevant documents such as offer letters, educational history, contracts and more. We will make the entire transition smooth and simple for you. Our professionals will also take care of permit extensions and renewals from within Canada as well as help in Port-of-Entry issuance.

We Get Approvals

Even a small mistake in your application can make you inadmissible to Canada. With many years of experience and extensive knowledge of CIC’s processing framework, we make sure your application is complete and accurately presented before CIC.

Canadian work permits are often broken down into these categories:
LMIA-required:
A Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) is a document required to Canadian companies to get authority to hire non-Canadian staff.

The most common permits available in Canada

LMIA-Required work permits are employer, location and occupation specific

LMIA-Exempt

There are dozens of LMIA Exemptions available, most common are work permits covered under NAFTA, GATS and Intra-Company Transfer provisions.

They do not require a Labour Market Impact Assessment
LMIA-Exempt work permits are still employer, location and occupation specific

Open Work Permit

Citizenship and Immigration Canada also provides dozens of open work permits which can be used anywhere across Canada in any occupation.
